Just chilling....at PFW

I love this shot because amongst all the hustle, bustle and craziness that is paris fashion week this girl was chilling out, not phased by the craziness happening around her. I think she is a model and her name is Charon (but I may be wrong)...

Happy Paris Fashion Week! I'm in the midst of it, exhausted but excited! More shots to come soon xx

Who's that girl?

This photo was one of the last for the day and I was rushing around trying to catch everyone I wanted to shoot that day. It was only later that I realised that I forgot to ask for her name and more importantly I realised that she is amazingly photogenic. I really want to find out who she is and I really want to shoot her again!

Note: thank you Daria for letting me know who she is! it's Cate Underwood, a photographer from Ukraine (probably one of the best looking photographers out there :)) Check out her work here.

Streetstyle for Look At Me

Check out my street style shots for Look At Me that I shot on Days 2 and 3 of London Fashion Week. My favourite shot of Day 2 - the ever so stylish Matthew Zorpas. Absolutely love this suit on him - well tailored with amazing detailing. Bravo!

Photoshoot: Let There Be Bright!

I have been wanting to share this shoot with you FOREVER! I shot this in Russia as an entry for a Harper's Bazaar Russia photo competition. Sadly, I didnt win anything but I enjoyed this shoot immensely and absolutely loved working with the gorgeous and talented Victoria

The brief for the competition was Inspiration where you had choose a past Harber's Bazaar shoot and make it your own. My inspiration was Brights! - a shoot by Sølve Sundsbø which you can find here.

I found the lighting the most challenging as the studio did not have a light meter and my lighting knowledge is hardly advanced enough to go by my "gut feeling".

My Mum helped my sew the dresses (poor Mum, who would've thought that at my tender age she would still be helping me with DIY projects ;)), accessories are Marni for H&M, shoes Zara; yellow top - Zara, electric blue top - Vassa New York.

Make-up: Anna Busygina
Model: Victoria
Styling and Photography: me :)

What the dog saw...

I am a strong believer that a hobby should be.. well.. enjoyable.. It might seem obvious but having a blog can often mean that you become a slave to self-imposed deadlines, strive for appreciation, popularity and keeping the momentum up.

I am very much against that.. I think blogging should not be forced because if you have nothing good to say then maybe it is best not to say anything.

So pretty much all summer I just did not feel at all inspired to blog or photograph or even read other blogs or follow fashion trends.

My summer was a whirlwind of airports, jetlags, sleep deprivation, turning up to work off the red-eye flight, hangovers, amazing people, places and experiences. I can now say that I am truly detoxed of fashion, blogging and am full of ideas and energy to face the upcoming winter months.

As it happens, I actually totally didn't realise that fashion weeks were upon us and today was running around like a crazy monkey trying to push all my weekend appointments aside.

So what have I been doing for the last 3 months?! I have been filling up the list of conquered conquered cities (although some of them indeed conquered me). So my summer consisted of - San Sebastian, Barcelona, Cannes, St Tropez, Odessa, Ibiza and finally Bodrum to finish the wonderful 3 months.

I wish I could share all my experiences with you but for that I would probably have to start a separate travel blog :) So I figured a picture speaks a thousand words.....
