Afternoon, Hyde Park...
Here is a couple of shots from my third ACP assignment... This time the subject was "capturing movement".. Not going to lie - I found myself on struggle street.. Although, my crappy photography aside, there is something relaxing about spending the afternoon in the park.. watching people skate...

photos, people, photos
Looking through my pictures the other day my friend A asked me why I like taking photos of other people taking photos... To be honest it's never occurred to me before, but I guess I like their.. honesty..?
Since I started doing photography, I've realised how hard it is to get a candid shot, especially if your camera or lense (or both) is the size of a bazooka... As soon as a person hears the shutter go off they instantly stare at the camera or worse strike a pose.
When a photographer is taking a photo they are completely absorbed in the moment, trying to figure out the shutter speeds and apertures, capture the moment... most of the time they either dont notice you taking a photo of them or simply dont care...

little house and a lemon tree...
This photo was taken for my second ACP assignment... I love how the colours are very rich and happy.. Unfortunately my teacher didnt really rate it and said the colours didnt look "real".. Oh well!

Daydreaming...
This is a photo I took for my first assignment at the Australian Centre for Photography. The contrast and the brightness have been heavily adjusted but I almost think it works better this way. Thanks to my beautiful friend A for "musing" me!
